HOW TO MAKE BISCUIT BARS

The biscuits bar requires following ingredients:

  • Plain flour. I recommend using unbleached, all-purpose flour in these biscuit bars! For a gluten-free version, use an all-purpose gluten-free baking flour!
  • Brown sugar – gives this biscuit bar rich lovely flavour. If you like granulated sugar you can do half of each.
  • Butter – Both salted or unsalted butter work in these biscuit bars.
  • Chocolate – I used Milk chocolate, which i chopped roughly. You can use dark chocolate too or both.
  • Walnuts – I used walnut. Its completely optional and personal choice. You can also swap it with macadamia.

Start making these biscuit bars by creaming together the butter and sugar until the ingredients are combined. All one egg at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add flour along with yoghurt and milk, mix well. Lastly add chocolate and walnuts and fold in.

Line and grease an 8×8″ baking dish. Transfer the cookie bar dough to the baking dish and spread it evenly. Sprinkle with chopped chocolate. Bake at 180 C untill its firm and all done.

Let the cookie biscuits cool for at least 30 minutes on wire rack. The cooling helps to give the bar a biscuit like texture. You can reheat them before serving if you prefer a bit warm biscuit.
