Welcome to Sugar Spice and More! This blog is all about home cooking from scratch with simple ingredients which are mostly available in our fridge, pantry or or easily available from local grocery stores. Also, I aim to give you some quick recipes for weekdays, as many of us who work fulltime know how big is the struggle to put dinner on the table after all day of work.

My basic focus is Pakistani/Indian cuisine. That what I have grown up with and I know exactly how it should taste. I also draw influence from my travels and from the multicultural city (Sydney)I live in.

South East Asian cooking is considered overly complicated due to different techniques and huge array of spices involved. My purpose is to guide you through so you can make amazing recipes at home by yourself without relying on premade sauces and spice mixes. Nothing beats the food cooked from scratch using the simple ingredients.

So put your aprons on and lets start cooking. Just remember to keep trying and do not give up. Follow the recipe and don’t forget to add pinch of love to all your creations. That’s the secret ingredient passed onto me by my grandmother!
