Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona Coffee

A Korean Coffee trend starting with viral Tik Tok video took internet by storm. When I first looked at the whole process of making the Dalgona Coffee it reminded me how in Pakistan and India, we have all been doing the same for years, but its simply called “Whipped Coffee”. And the only difference is that the whipped coffee goes at the bottom and milk is poured afterwards. But Korean version call for the opposite.

How to make Dalgona Coffee ?

Its incredibly easy, equal parts of water, coffee and sugar. Make 1 cup or more the formula/ratio remains the same :

1 tbsp Coffee + 1 tbsp Sugar + 1 tbsp Water = Dalgona Coffee

For beating the coffee its best to use electric beater. It will surely save you time. You can also use whisk but it will definitely give your arm a workout. Just beat it until the coffee becomes fluffy and pale.

How to drink Dalgona Coffee ?

You can make it cold or hot, its delicious both ways. It is served in glass and I find it very fascinating how whipped coffee stays afloat and you can see two layers of white milk and pale golden coffee. The way to drink is to stir it while you drink it, the frothy coffee keeps getting mixed into the milk.
