Ingredients for Pineapple Delight
- Biscuits/Crackers: Use any plain biscuits to make the crumb base. Digestive or graham crackers work well. In Australia, these are called Granita Biscuits. For a caramel twist, Biscoff biscuits can also be used.
- Canned Pineapple: I used pineapple chunks, but crushed pineapple works too. Chunks give a better texture for this dessert.
- Cream: Use whipping cream for light, fluffy layers.
- Butter: A small amount of unsalted melted butter to bind the biscuit crumbs.
Layering Up Pineapple Delight
Like all no-bake desserts, Pineapple Delight is all about assembling layers! You can use a large serving dish or individual glasses—these also make perfect mini dessert cups for parties.
- Prepare the biscuit crumbs: Mix crushed biscuits with melted butter until crumbly.
- Layer the base: Add a layer of the biscuit crumbs to the dish or glass. Drizzle some pineapple juice over the crumbs to keep them moist.
- Add pineapple: Place a layer of pineapple chunks on top of the crumbs.
- Add cream: Pipe or spoon in a layer of whipped cream.
- Repeat layers: Add another layer of crumbs, drizzle with juice, pineapple chunks, and cream. Depending on your serving dish, you can add a third layer for extra indulgence.
Chill before serving: Refrigerate the assembled Pineapple Delight for at least 3–4 hours to let the layers set and the flavors meld beautifully.

Can you make this dessert ahead?
Yes! Pineapple Delight is a perfect make-ahead dessert. You can assemble it up to 24 hours in advance and keep it refrigerated. In fact, it tastes even better when chilled longer, allowing the flavors to meld and the layers to set beautifully.
Can I use fresh pineapple?
It’s best to stick with canned pineapple (chunks or crushed) for this recipe. Fresh pineapple contains natural enzymes that can cause the whipped cream to curdle, affecting the texture of your Pineapple Delight.
Can I add any toppings?
Absolutely! For a tropical twist, sprinkle toasted coconut flakes or shredded coconut on top. For a nutty crunch, try toasted almonds or pistachios. These toppings add flavor, texture, and make your dessert even more visually appealing.
Can you make this in a Serving Dish?
Yes! Pineapple Delight can be made in a large serving dish or in individual glasses. If you’re preparing it for a crowd, a big dish makes serving easier. For parties or special occasions, mini dessert cups are a great option—they look elegant and are perfectly portioned
