Black Pepper Chicken
An easy black pepper chicken with tender chicken, crunchy peppers vegetables and onions in a delicious black pepper sauce. Quick and easy recipe, perfect for a weeknight meal.

- 700 g Chicken thinly sliced See notes
- 3 tbsp Sesame oil
Sauce
- ½ cup Chicken Stock
- 2 tbsp Soya Sauce
- 2 tbsp Dark Soya sauce
- 1 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 tsp Cracked Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp Corn flour
- Salt to taste
Chicken Marinade
- 1 tbsp Soya Sauce
- 1 tbsp Corn Flour
Vegetables
- 3-4 Garlic Cloves finely Chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger Finely Chopped
- 2 Medium Capsicums/Bell Peppers Sliced Either red, green or both
- 1 Medium Onion Sliced
In a mixing bowl add chicken with soya sauce and corn starch. Gently mix and allow it to marinate for few minutes until you prepare vegetables and sauce.
Slice onions and capsicums. Finely chop garlic and ginger.
In a small bowl add all the ingredients of sauce and stir to combine.
In a skillet heat 2 tbsp of oil and add chicken in a single layer. Avoid over lapping. After 30 seconds flip chicken over. Stir and cook for a minute until chicken is lightly browned. Take chicken out in a plate and set aside.
In the same skillet add 1 tablespoon oil and fry ginger garlic for few seconds and immediately add capsicums and onion. Stir fry for a minute.
Pour the sauce in a mix until sauce starts to thicken up. Add chicken back in the skillet. Stir to ensure that the sauce coats everything.
Serve immediately.
